New Feature | Introducing Chance The Rapper


Chance The Rapper

This rising Chicago native is only 19-years-old and prepping to release his second mixtape Acid Rap. Chance Bennett, better known by his stage name Chance The Rapper dropped his first mixtape 10 Day in April of last year.

After graduating from high school not longer than a year ago, his rhymes discuss the typical student activities as he relives adolescent memories. Chance gives an insight into experimenting with drugs, tales of friends and family all being delivered with a sense of nostalgia.


The 10 Day tape was founded when Chance got suspended from high school, he was giving a 10 day suspension and during that period he began working on his debut project. Eight months of recording and writing he was ready to drop his first tape. It was well received in Chicago, the tape was a starting point that allowed him to establish connections within the industry.

One of the standout tracks of the mixtape include the song “Brain Cells”

“Remember I used to bang with bad ones/ till my grandmamma told on her grandson/ Mama said that I was way too handsome/ to be throwing the hand’s son”

Chance linked up with Childish Gambino and featured on his Royalty mixtape with the song “They Don’t Like Me”. Ending up on the ‘Camp Tour’ with Gambino they performed the song from all over the country from Toronto to Chicago.

Collaborating with the likes of Joey Badda$$ and Hoodie Allen chance is now working on his second mixtape Acid Rap due to drop on April 30th he has already released multiple singles off the tape the likes of “Juice”, “Acid Rain” and “Good Ass Intro” with the later featuring BJ The Chicago Kid will all be on the mixtape.
